Intro to Biased Wheel Attacks

The biased wheel attack is a strategy to beat the roulette wheel by attacking its inevitable physical imperfections. It is quite impossible for man to create a perfect machine. The roulette wheel is made from wood and metal and subject to wear and tear over time. Further the wheel is operated by a human who may also add to the imperfect running of the wheel. Further, roulette wheels are incredibly expensive machines and casinos will be willing to accept small imperfections to get longer life out of each wheel (as long as they don't detect anyone making systematic profit from those imperfections!)

The perfect roulette wheel needs to be flawlessly balanced, the pockets uniformly surfaced and structured, the frets uniformly resilient and resistant to wear, and the dealers incapable of consciously or unconsciously controlling the ball. It is quite impossible for an active wheel to remain perfect over the long run, rather it is quite natural for the wheel to deviate from perfectly random outcomes more and more over the long run. A slight groove invisible to the human eye will be enough to cause the ball to drop more in one position more than others. Over time as the groove becomes more travelled becomes more deeper and deeper. That is, small imperfections are likely to grow more reliable over time.

The biased wheel strategy seeks to find these imperfections and exploit the subsequent positive odds from certain outcomes on biased wheels.

Biased wheels cannot have obvious defects that are able to be detected by traditional inspections and tune ups. They are by nature invisible to the human eye. You need to find them statistically, by clocking the wheel. This involves observing a wheel and recording observations. You can then see if the actual odds differ greatly from the expected probability of a perfect wheel. That is, on a European roulette wheel you should see each number to come up around 1 in 37. The House pays 1 to 35, so numbers that come up more often that 1 in 35 would have a positive expected value.
 

 
ADVICE ON EXECUTION

You need to decide on what degree observed of bias you are willing to accept before committing a large chunk of your bankroll on an attack. Some people will only accept at least 1 in 25 others might be happy with 1 in 30. The more bias you want, the less likely your actually going find a wheel with that much bias but on the flip side the more bias observed reduces the ;monetary risk with the attack and the faster you will accumulate profits. On the other extreme, a bias of only 1 in 34 is probably too tight to make a decent profit and may more likely be short term deviation

While bias wheel attacks are not illegal, casinos will use their right to refuse entry on some trivial grounds to stop your attack. If they are cunning, they may switch wheels in anticipation of a bias wheel attack.

You will also need to know the casino's own schedule for wheel maintenance and possibly rotation. You want to start clocking just after maintenance and continue until the next maintenance. If you have a way of definitely identifying a specific roulette wheel, it may be interesting to see if potential bias continues after a regular maintenance check.

This is more a hint, but I do have a variation on the standard clocking. I cannot give it away but the way casinos are checking for wheel bias themselves does not match the actual operations of the roulette game. If you can work this out, you will find a big gap between the casino's own bias wheel checks and finding actual imperfections in wheels.

Carrying out a successful bias wheel attack requires a lot of patience, cunning and skill. It may not give you the high of being on a hot rush, but when you walk out of a casino after getting away with such an attack you will have quite a different high. It is worth it for those willing try. Remember, with casino's knowing about the potential for bias wheel attacks, you have quite a short window of opportunity between maintenance of the wheels so you need to be quite organized and ready to move quickly. Also, be satisfied with having a few big winning sessions. If you are too showy or get marked you will quickly find yourself on a blacklist.

Biased Wheel Attacks do have certain limitations. For example ,

1) If a wheel uses a starburst seperator it's virtually impossible to find a pocket bias since the pockets are one continous fret that is solid and remain solid. However, the good news is that it still doesn't rule out a possible sector bias or ball track bias too as long as it's not a Saturn Wheel.

2) On the Saturn wheel, it's virtually impossible to find a ball track bias because the ball track is made of velstone which incorporates a near indestructible material.  However, the good news is that it still doesn't rule out a possible sector bias or pocket bias too as long as the wheel doesn't use a starburst seperator.

Other than that, if you are just targeting out regular John Huxley wheels, with traditional pocket seperators, THAN IT IS OPEN SEASON.  But be careful, because if you do too much standing around for hours at a time taking notes on these types of wheels, you might get yourself thrown out or black listed - - or they'll probably just switch the wheel on you after you leave especially if you had a winning session. 

So learn to find certain marks on the wheels you are tracking and record them in your notebook especially once you've uncovered a biased wheel.  If there are marks on the rotor, it is even better. The overwhelming majority of biases are caused by wear and/or defects on the rotor. That's one of the real reasons they keep the wheel constantly moving, to try and stop you from noticing these marks on the rotor .  It is possible, especially in European casinos, that casino employees might move rotors from one table to another without moving the wheel.

That's why I call it an Intro to Biased Wheel Attacks.  I am not revealing all my secrets.  There is a big difference between today's Modern Biased Wheel Attacker and the Biased Wheel attackers from 20 years ago.  20 years ago, all one had to do was track numbers long enough,  LIKE TRACKING FOR DUMMIES - - SO EASY - - EVEN A 5 YEAR OLD COULD HAVE DONE IT.

The misconception of a lot of roulette players is that Biased wheels today is totally impossible to occur.  THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! 

AS I STATED EARLIER 

Biased Wheel Attacks do have certain limitations. For example ,

Other than that, the traditional John Huxley wheels

a) still use wooden Ball tracks that will get worn down over time eventually causing ball track bias 
b) still have frets that are suspectable to pocket bias and sector bias over time.
c) still get scratches and small dents on the rotor that can't be fixed but only replaced

TODAY, NOT 20 YEARS AGO, BUT TODAY - - -The casinos are aware of these things and as a result will do maintainence on wheels from time to time.  However, CASINOS FACE 3 BIG PROBLEMS

PROBLEM 1 FOR CASINOS- for the Bias wheel attacker, they will often find gaps in wheel maintainaince that leaves several casinos wide open for attacks.

PROBLEM 2 FOR CASINOS - - -  some Casinos are not fast enough to face realization that certain wheels and/or rotors can no longer be repaired, BUT NEED TO BE REPLACED.  OR THEY ARE JUST TO CHEAP TO REPLACE THEM SINCE THESE WHEELS ARE EXPENSIVE - - Because they think they can just keep moving certain wheels around for another 3 months, before their next budgeting money comes in to replace that wheel, ALL BECAUSE THEIR RECORDS SHOW THAT THEY HAVEN'T BEEN HIT YET BY A BIASED WHEEL ATTACKER.

PROBLEM 3 FOR CASINOS - - When they do perform wheel maintainance, they quite often will not catch certain biases until a much later time.  It cost a lot of money to replace these wheels, so the casinos are banking on the fact that just because they didn't catch a certain bias doing a quick maintainace , that no one else will be either.  It's almost impossible for them to catch everything all in 1 maintainence because certain biases may only occur at certain temperatures, times of the day and certain rotor speeds- - - In cases like these a biased wheel can go undetected for months- - - and the only red flag that they'll ever get is after someone all ready beat the crap out of them.    THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THEY ARE ENTITLED TO BELIEVE WHAT EVER THEY WANT TO BELIEVE.  JUST LIKE YOU ARE ENTITLED TO BELIEVE WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO BELIEVE SNOWMAN!!!  AND NASA TOO!!!

NASA, the government  regulatory of the United States that stores all Nuclear and military secrets , thought that their Website with top military information was 100% INVINCIBLE AND SECURE saying no hacker could ever hack into their system in a million years.

THAT'S REALLY FUNNY,  Because It turns out that a 15 year old was able to hack into their site and steal top secret documents on how to make weapons of mass destruction.   As a result, the President, Congress and Senate all passed a bill into Law that immediately made it mandatory to remove all top secret information of the United states Off Line.

But according to me vb and computer play are different. You don't need 5000 spins if you got 100-200 thats probably enough. But of course more spins better accuracy, in theory.

The best information regarding "Biased wheel play" you can get from Snowman who sometimes writes articles at Gamblers Glen forum or perhaps from Kelly.

If you look under Snowman name is written Newbie and Development. Which is paradox but who knows maybe one day he decides to write something hidden from publics eyes in Development section.
 
Minerox and Mike (good Mike) did some research on biased wheels.

For me there is no theoretical chance that I can do it.  I will never stand next to the wheel for thousands of spins.
I have seen data for 12,000spins  with significant SD hits at some numbers I know that person took some money from that but I also know that soon after with no particular reason everything come to negative SD. The data vas very precisely recorded with all parameters and it could be analyzed on many ways.

When I play I do place early bets. Based on dealers signature or some biased wheel theories.  For example assuming that the ball (spinner) likes to exit at particular point on the rotor due to deformations at the rotors edge. At some situations it shows ok and results may be shifted by rotor speed or it could be different for opposite ball direction. Even sometimes it gave me nice profits I wouldn't say that from earlier bets on long run I made any profit.

Today on a very level and unbiased John Huxley with a stone track #13 showed three times in 30 spins AND double spun on each of the three occasions. Beautiful to watch, lovely to play and just one more example of the wheel doing whatever the normal player would say is impossible!

I was fortunate to be on the first show but didn't increase my bet but following the second show I plonked it and had close to the max on the third repeat.

If with FF I can get 1:28 (Stefano says    ) how much I can get with biased wheel play.

How many spins is needed?

For example if we look one phenomena of imperfect rotor, where the ball likes to exit more often. It would be only small amount of spins that would exit there , and still there is wide scatter. By my understanding only spinners where the ball would spin over the junction where base and rotor are connecting would be really affected by rotor imperfection such as rotor tilt. How such small percentage also disturbed by scatter can overcome house advantage, and how so small advantage can be recognized.


Since the ball in last rotations has pretty much equal speed does it mean that you can completely ignore ball starting speed?
Regarding scatter, I assume that you do it differently for different rotor speeds.
